L’Italia è tra gli otto Paesi che sottoscrissero l’Accordo fondativo dell’OIV il 29 novembre 1924. La ratifica di quell’Accordo è avvenuta attraverso il Regio Decreto-Legge del 26 ottobre 1933. Da allora in poi l’Italia ha continuato ad accompagnare l’OIV nel suo lungo cammino che, nel corso di un secolo, ha visto aumentare il numero dei Paesi membri che la compongono e si è dotata di una nuova organizzazione e, da ultimo, di una nuova sede. L’impegno continuo e costante nell’Organizzazione da parte della delegazione italiana, selezionala sulla base di indiscusse e riconosciute professionalità tecnico-scientifiche, ha consentito di contribuire in modo incisivo allo sviluppo lavori importanti, alcuni fondamentali, per il perseguimento degli stessi obiettivi dell’OIV e che, nel futuro, contribuiranno al raggiungimento delle ulteriori sfide che la attendono. Nello stesso tempo le qualità dei diversi esperti sono state riconosciute e premiate in seno all’Organizzazione; l’Italia ha inoltre coordinato e favorito l’accesso sia alle cariche più prestigiose di presidente e di direttore, sia all’interno degli altri organi dell’OIV. Guardando al futuro, l’Italia, con i suoi esperti, continuerà a trasmette conoscenze ed esperienze, favorendo con forza la crescita delle nuove leve, affinché il progresso dell’Organizzazione continui e il prestigio sia accresciuto anche negli anni a venire.
Italy was among the eight countries that signed the OIV’s founding Agreement on 29 November 1924. The ratification took place through the Decree-Law of 26 October 1933. Since then, Italy has continued to accompany the OIV on its long journey, which over the course of a century has seen the number of member countries increase and it has been endowed with a new organization and, most recently, a new headquarters. The continuous and constant commitment to the organization by Italian delegation, selected on the basis of undisputed and recognized technical-scientific skills, has made it possible an incisive contribution to the development of important works, some of which are fundamental, for the pursuit of the objectives of the OIV and which, in the future, will contribute to achieving the further challenges that await it. At the same time, the qualities of the various experts have been recognized and rewarded within the organization; furthermore, Italy has coordinated and favoured access both to the most prestigious position of President and Director, and to other OIV bodies. Looking to the future, Italy, with its experts, will continue to transmit knowledge and experience, strongly favouring the growth of new recruits, so that the progress of the Organization will continue, and its prestige will be enhanced in the years to come.
