L’immagine dell’Africa diffusa nel mondo occidentale evidenzia la difficile situazione sociale, economica e alimentare delle popolazioni, trascurando, spesso, le potenzialità esistenti che consentirebbero lo sviluppo agroindustriale dando quel sufficiente benessere delle persone anche nelle aree rurali. Lo sviluppo dei Paesi Africani rimane legato alle origini etniche, alla storia e tradizione delle popolazioni, che devono trovare la volontà di accettare adeguate innovazioni tecnologiche compatibili con la loro base culturale ed i mezzi tecnici a disposizione. Le donazioni e gli interventi umanitari non devono avere finalità caritatevoli: l’Africa muore di carità. I progetti di sviluppo vanno concordati con i Governi ed Enti del Paese beneficiario e orientati verso la educazione, formazione e assistenza tecnica alle giovani generazioni. Sono riportate le esperienze acquisite in Senegal e Camerun ricordando che i Paesi occidentali dovranno trovare la via dell’integrazione con il Continente Africano.
The image of Africa spread in the western world highlights the critical social, economic, food availibility for the people and neglecting the existing potential that allow agro-industrial development. The increasing agricultural and industry activities should be able to improve the well-being of the population also in rural area. The development of Africa, remains tied to ethnic origins, history and traditions of the populations who must find the will to accept adeguate and technological innovations. The changing must be compatible with the cultural base and technical means available locally. Donations and humanitarian interventions must not have charitable purpose: Africa dies of charity. Development projects must be agreed with the Goverments of the beneficiary Countries and the interventions should be oriented towards education, training and assistance to younger generations. The experiences acquired in Senegal and Cameroon are reported, also reminding that the western Countries will have to find the way of integration with the African Nations.
